Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting data, systems, and networks. At its core, it’s built on the CIA Triad: Confidentiality: Keep data private. Integrity: Make sure data isn’t changed by attackers. Availability: Ensure systems are always accessible. Cybersecurity has two main sides: Offensive Security (Red Team): Simulating attacks, penetration testing, and hunting for vulnerabilities. Not at the start. Basics of networking, OS, and security concepts come first. But offensive security benefits hugely from Python, Bash, JavaScript. Defensive security benefits from PowerShell, SQL, Regex. Coding makes you smarter in both offense and defense.
