Zero Trust: Why “Never Trust, Always Verify” Matters



Traditional security often assumes that users and devices inside the company network can be trusted.

Zero Trust takes the opposite approach: trust nothing by default.

Every user, device, application, and access request should be continuously evaluated before access is granted.

The Core Principles

1. Verify Explicitly
Always verify the user's identity, device, location, and other relevant signals before granting access.

2. Least Privilege
Give users only the access they actually need—and nothing more.

3. Assume Breach
Design security as if an attacker could already be inside the environment.

Why Do Companies Need Zero Trust?

Employees work from laptops, phones, cloud platforms, and remote locations.

The traditional idea of a secure "internal network" is no longer enough.

Zero Trust helps organizations limit unauthorized access, reduce lateral movement, and protect sensitive resources.

الأسلوب التقليدي في حماية الشبكات كان بيفترض إن المستخدم أو الجهاز جوه شبكة الشركة = موثوق.

لكن مفهوم Zero Trust بيغير الفكرة دي تمامًا:

متثقش بشكل افتراضي في أي حد. تحقق من كل طلب وصول.

كل مستخدم وجهاز وتطبيق لازم يتم التحقق منه قبل السماح له بالوصول للموارد.

المبادئ الأساسية

1. Verify Explicitly
تحقق من هوية المستخدم والجهاز والظروف المحيطة بطلب الوصول.

2. Least Privilege
كل مستخدم ياخد أقل صلاحيات يحتاجها فقط.

3. Assume Breach
اتعامل مع الأنظمة على أساس إن الاختراق ممكن يكون حصل بالفعل، وصمّم الحماية وفقًا لكده.

ليه الشركات محتاجة Zero Trust؟

الموظفين دلوقتي بيشتغلوا من أجهزة مختلفة، Cloud، موبايلات، وأماكن خارج شبكة الشركة.

فكرة إن "اللي جوه الشبكة آمن" مبقتش كفاية.

Zero Trust بيساعد الشركات تقلل الوصول غير المصرح به، وتحد من انتشار المهاجم داخل البيئة، وتحمي البيانات الحساسة.
